Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate in home provider that has experience with behavior management. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background in caring for individuals in their own home and provide quality care. This role requires a nurturing approach and the ability to engage effectively, fostering a positive environment.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one in home care assisting with daily routines.
- Behavior management techniques
- Support clients and engage in age appropriate actives.
- Transportation as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians and management
- Create a safe and supportive atmosphere
- Insure privacy and maintain HIPPA guidelines.
Skills
- Experience with behavior management and de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of different developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Experience
- Previous experience working with developmental disabilities, special needs, childcare, or in caregiving.
- Strong background in behavior management and de-escalation techniques
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles is preferred.
- Experience in educating students with diverse learning needs is a plus.
- Skills in babysitting or other forms of child supervision will be advantageous.

Schedule for this position includes weekdays starting after school and/or flexible weekend hours. Teachers, teacher assistants, paraprofessionals, ABA therapists, behavioral technicians, someone with passion and experience in caregiving and advocating for kids or adolescents, college students going to school for nursing, speech, OT, PT, teaching, etc. would be a great fit for this position.
