Encompass Community Supports, formerly known as Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services (RRCS) is hiring a Development Coordinator.

At Encompass Community Supports, our full-time employees work 37.5 hours weekly.
Our Developmental Coordinator takes lead in fund raising events in concert with the Director; Performs a variety of administrative support and clerical tasks in an office environment; Work is performed under general supervision.
SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports Division fund raising and development functions:
- Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential donors; Identify, research, and qualify potential donors; Develop and implement donor stewardship strategies; Manage donor databases and track engagement; Maintain online data entry, donor database and correspondence; Research, prepare and apply for grant opportunities and then maintain documentation as required, including maintaining data on grant application cycles.
- Fundraising Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans; Create and manage fundraising campaigns; Plan and execute fundraising events and initiatives; Develop compelling fundraising materials (e.g., proposals, appeals).
- Campaign Execution: Oversee all aspects of fundraising campaigns, from planning to execution; Manage fundraising budgets and track progress; Analyze fundraising performance and identify areas for improvement
- Supports multiple aspects of a wide variety of Divisional management functions including, but not limited to, USPS and inter-office mail, meeting minutes, office and facility supplies, filing systems, petty cash account, publicity, and archives.
- Prepares multiple reports to meet administrative and program deadlines, maintains correspondence, proofreads and corrects data submitted by programs, maintains inventories, assists with publicity, and prepares surveys/reports using a variety of computer software and internet-based programs.
- Answers telephone calls to provide information relevant to Division; covers front desk/switchboard duties as scheduled and in backup capacity.
- Coordinates multiple aspects of aging services newsletter publication in conjunction with Volunteer and Aging Services Manager.
- Orders and facilitates distributions of specialized supplies for programs as well as administrative office including, but not limited to, liquid nutritional supplements, mail room supplies, building and office keys, etc.
- Performs related tasks as required.
- Attends training and maintains certifications as required by the Agency and regulatory guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and administrative support techniques.
- Ability to type, calculate basic math and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to type, take and transcribe dictation using good composition skills.
- Ability to read and understand detailed and complicated policies, procedures and materials that contain specialized words and phrases.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public. Experience in fundraising and development, experience with researching, applying for and managing grants.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of administrative support experience
- At 3 years of fundraising/development experience. Valid Virginia driver’s license
