What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Coordinator position at Encompass Therapy Center?
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the daily operations of our new office location
- Answer phone calls and communicate with parents and community members
- Complete daily and monthly scheduling for all services
- Maintain a clean & safe work environment
- Office maintenance including filing, shredding, and faxing
- Assist in insurance verification and authorization requests
- Upload necessary documentation to various funding sources as needed
- Submitting paper and electronic claims in a timely manner
- Communications with insurance companies on authorizations & billing concerns
- Assist in creating & organizing new documents related to policy & procedures
- Documentation review & secure file uploads
- Assists with hiring, new hire onboarding, and training as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and their various Google Drive options
- Possess written & verbal communication skills
- Able to abide by HIPAA privacy & confidentiality
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Takes initiative for task completion
- Experience in a medical office setting
- Experience with billing is preferred
