Regional Sales Manager (Dredging/Marine Construction)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (THIS IS NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE)
- Upholds the Company’s commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices
- Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures
- Identifies and targets potential private sector clients requiring dredging services
- Researches and analyzes market trends, client needs, and project opportunities
- Develops and maintains a robust pipeline of bid opportunities
- Builds and maintains relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers
- Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Works closely with operations to ensure alignment between client needs and service offerings
- Collaborates with internal teams to prepare competitive and compliant bid proposals
- Ensures accurate pricing and value propositions tailored to client needs
- Develops and implements strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share
- Provides regular reports on market trends, customer feedback, and sales activities
- Reviews, interprets, and negotiates contracts to ensure project and client requirements are met
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description
- Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing
- Must have a current valid driver’s license, and clear MVR
- Must be authorized to work in the US; this position is not eligible for a visa sponsorship
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Science, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with proven experience)
- 3 years of sales or business development experience in the dredging, marine construction, or heavy civil construction industry
- Strong track record of successfully generating leads and closing deals in the private sector
- In-depth knowledge of dredging processes, equipment, and industry-specific challenges
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
