What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at End of the Trail Convenience Store?
Job Summary: The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation inside and outside of the store.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
A. Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of restrooms as needed.
B. Thoroughly clean and maintain fuel pumps as needed.
A. Perform pressure washing of sidewalks, fuel islands, and building exteriors.
C. Clean shelves, counters, tables, floors, coolers, storage room and restrooms, consistent with proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
D. Empty all trash containers on a regular basis, remove all cardboard and place in proper containers.
E. Ensure gas islands and pumps are stocked and cleaned on a regular basis.
F. Pumps Propane upon customer purchase. For safety and training, a senior teammate may walk through how to utilize propane pumps appropriately.
G. Ensure inside and outside signage’s are checked on a regular basis for an acceptable image and change if necessary.
H. Complete required training as assigned by Human Resources.
I. Performs other duties as assigned.
J. May be assigned duties under the Chehalis Tribe Emergency Management Plan and Program.
K. Maintain cleanliness of curb lines and parking lot by collecting and sweeping up debris.
L. Inspect fuel pumps for skimmers and ensure void tape is intact.
Supervision:
A. Supervision Received: Direct supervision in the performance of routine duties.
B. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
B. Experience: General experience in related areas compatible to position duties.
C. Skills & Abilities:
1) Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees.
2) Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
3) Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
4) Physical Demands: Frequent standing and walking. Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
D. Additional Requirements:
1) Submit to and pass a Drug Test
2) Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.
