Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process and track job costing, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate invoicing for projects and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Track and manage construction project budgets and forecasts.
- Work closely with project managers and other teams to ensure accurate billing and cost reporting.
- Process payroll for employees and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Handle collections for overdue accounts and manage vendor relationships.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support audits and ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in preparing tax filings, including sales tax and payroll tax.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of job costing and construction-specific accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, RedTeams, ADP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite programs.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and taxes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., RedTeams, Quickbooks Online, ADP).
- Familiarity with the construction industry’s financial regulations and best practices.
- Experience with lien waivers, contract management, and construction bonds.
