- Position: Lactation Consultant
- Hourly Pay Range: $30.46 - $45.69. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Full Time
- Hours: 32 hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm
- Required Travel: None
- Promote breastfeeding beyond the hospital stay and helping parents achieve their breastfeeding goals.
- Teach breastfeeding classes.
- Provide infant formula feeding education to parents of newborns.
- Provide assistance and support to lactating patients admitted throughout the hospital.
- Provide emotional support and offer engorgement prevention support to perinatal loss and biological adoption parents.
- Education: High School Diploma/Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Certification: Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) required; International Board Lactation Consultant Examiner (IBLCE) Preferred
- Experience: Two years’ experience providing education to breastfeeding patients.
- Unique or Preferred Skills: Spanish fluency preferred
