Position Highlights

• Sign on bonus: None
• Position: Lactation Consultant
• Hourly Pay Range: $30.46 - $45.69. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Full Time
• Hours: 32 hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm
• Required Travel: None
  
  

What You Will Do

• Promote breastfeeding beyond the hospital stay and helping parents achieve their breastfeeding goals.
• Teach breastfeeding classes.
• Provide infant formula feeding education to parents of newborns.
• Provide assistance and support to lactating patients admitted throughout the hospital.
• Provide emotional support and offer engorgement prevention support to perinatal loss and biological adoption parents.
  
  

What You Will Need

• Education: High School Diploma/Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Certification: Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) required; International Board Lactation Consultant Examiner (IBLCE) Preferred
• Experience: Two years’ experience providing education to breastfeeding patients.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Spanish fluency preferred
