Endesco, Inc. (www.endescoinc.com, an award-winning certified DBE/MBE/SBE civil engineering firm in the metro Washington DC area, established in 1997) is seeking a Mid to Senior Traffic Engineering (4 years of experience) to join our team in the Metro DC area. The selected candidate will support our clients’ efforts by working at an on-site consultant in Montgomery County Department of Transportation, Maryland (with a hybrid work schedule), performing traffic engineering services.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting and documenting field observations.
- Performing studies for existing roadways to improve intersection and/or roadway capacity, increasing safety for roadway users, calming traffic, restricting certain vehicle operations, and limiting on-street parking.
- Preparing written correspondence and studies related to all of the above.
- Presenting findings to other government agencies, members of the county council, community groups or associations, and the general public regarding traffic engineering issues.
- Preparing and reviewing signing, marking and temporary traffic control plans.
- Reviewing Capital Improvement Projects and reviewing and approving signing and marking plans.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Civil Engineering (in Transportation) or related field
- 4 years of experience
- EIT license required, PE license preferred
- Familiarity with MUTCD, ADA guidelines, tools such as Synchro, MicoStation, Highway Capacity Software, Highway Safety Manual, etc.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
