Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated AI Intern to join our research team. In this role, you will modify and retrain existing AI models to enhance their performance in biomedical dataset analysis, supporting our mission to advance peptide drug development and improve treatments for conditions like cachexia and obesity.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Enhancement: Adapt and fine-tune AI models to improve their performance in peptide drug discovery and development.
- Data Management: Curate and preprocess biomedical datasets relevant to Endevica Bio's research focus for model training and validation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team of chemists, neuroscientists, biophysicists, and biologists to integrate AI solutions into ongoing projects.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive records of model modifications, experiments, and results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and familiarity with natural language processing in biomedical contexts.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with data processing libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience in setting up and managing cloud-based AI workflows.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic research environment.
