Endotronix is a medical device company that aims to transform the treatment of heart failure, a chronic, progressive condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to support the body. Our Cordella Heart Failure System (CHFS) includes proactive management tools for best practice care and detection of worsening heart failure. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the company grows, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated manager for our growing data engineering team. This is a largely greenfield infrastructure with a small team. You will build, mold and grow your ideal team to deliver a robust and scalable data engineering infrastructure. Our rich, unique and rapidly growing dataset offers the opportunity for innovative solutions with massive impact on patients’ daily lives. This is a people management role and you will be tasked with building, leading and daily management of the Data engineering team. This will encompass all aspects to ensure the success of the team in building and maintaining a reliable infrastructure including giving direction, strategy and structure to the team. This is a hybrid role based in Naperville, Illinois. Your responsibilities will include:
- Hire, build and grow the data engineering team. Multiple requisitions approved for FY’25
- Manage, mentor and guide team members to excel at their roles. Handle career development and annual reviews.
- Own the data engineering roadmap & budget.
- Contribute and constructively challenge technical proposals & requests
- Steer, manage and prioritize the Data Engineering Teams workload & projects. Manage the teams project backlog.
- Liaise with immediate teams (Data Science, Data Analytics) and external groups to understand needs and requests.
- Implement systems and processes to ensure robust, reliable & scalable infrastructure.
- Demonstrate good data governance practices and approaches equivalent to the risks and needs of the team.
- Ensure the highest levels of confidentiality and sensitivity for dealing with Patient Health Information [PHI]
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 2 years’ experience as a data engineering or software manager
- 3 experience as a data engineer or software developer
- Previous hands-on knowledge of data engineering & cloud infrastructure (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda etc)
- Eligible to work in the US and travel occasionally to the EU
EDUCATION
- BSc (MSc Preferred) in advanced degree: data engineering, software development, engineering, mathematics, physics or similar

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
