Job Overview
Endres Manufacturing is an AISC certified and Structural Steel Manufacturing company that has been around for nearly 100 years. Endres Manufacturing is a family-owned company located in Waunakee, WI. Endres Manufacturing is looking for a Steel Estimator to join our team. The Steel Estimator will be responsible for preparing a complete estimate by evaluating bid specifications, requirements, and doing a material take-off. This position requires working with the Project Manager, Detailing and Purchasing departments to assure jobs bid are completed properly.
Responsibilities for Estimator
- Read and interpret job bid requirements, blueprints and specifications to prepare estimate.
- Prepare an all-inclusive material take-off from the documents, identify labor needed to complete the project and identify any buy-out items.
- Prepare accurate, organized, and concise scope directives and request for quotes for subcontractors and suppliers to compile accurate pricing prior to bid submittal.
- Maintain consistent communication with subs/suppliers
- Performs additional estimating related projects and completes all other duties as assigned
Qualifications for Estimator
- Experience with using FabSuite / Tekla EPM preferred
- Estimating experience, structural steel fabrication knowledge helpful
- Strong math skills
- Detail-oriented
- Communication skills necessary to work effectively with both internal and external customers
- Time management – able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Critical thinking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- A Bachelor's degree in a field related industry or 1 year of proven and successful experience in related field
