SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under general supervision is responsible for commissioning & startup of Automation equipment.

Work environment is typically on a customer well site during normal or extended business hours in all weather conditions.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under general supervision is responsible for commissioning & startup of Automation equipment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Performs all of the job duties required of an Automation Field Service Technician
- Commissioning & Start-up of Automation Equipment to include controllers, VSD’s and end devices
- Coordinate transportation of Automation equipment
- Identify, diagnose and repair causes of failure
- Troubleshoot and optimize VSDs
- Ability to utilize and understand well monitoring services
EHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistently with supporting the company's TRIR goals
- Follow all environmental requirements consistently with supporting the company's environmental performance goals
- Complete, and actively participate in all of the company's EHS training requirements
- Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with company insurance policy
- Work safely with electricity
- Strong customer relations skills including the ability to explain and train
- Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years’ automation experience is preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence as required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Basic hand tool proficiency
- Knowledge of wiring and cabling
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to follow prescribed company policies, procedures, and protocols for installation, service and equipment maintenance
- Basic computer skills required to operate computerized test equipment
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- General electrical knowledge
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

- Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Activities occur indoors and outdoors.
- Extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
- Hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
- There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
