SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
An ESP Application Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) systems to meet production goals in various oil and gas operations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- System Optimization: Analyzing well performance data, adjusting ESP design parameters, and fine-tuning operations to improve system efficiency, extend run life, and reduce downtime.
- Mentoring and Training: Leading and mentoring engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and offering training to junior engineers on ESP design, troubleshooting, and field operations.
- Client Support: Collaborating with customers to solve operational challenges, recommending system improvements, and ensuring ESP systems meet specific well conditions and production targets.
- Data Analysis: Conducting performance assessments using software tools and field data to ensure ESP systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Other duties as specified by supervisor and conduct related work, as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors in Engineering or related subject
- Broad knowledge of well completion forming a background for troubleshooting failures and providing technician support.
- Must have valid driver license
- Excellent people and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A combination of the requirements that may also be considered.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit and/or drive a vehicle; a minimum of 2 hours and often up to 4 hours.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a pump shop or warehouse, and to all allowable areas of a well site or other job sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely mount and dismount from the back of a truck, and bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools such as a wench.
- Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to drive a one-ton pick-up truck.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is typically considered within an ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites, and meeting venues, extensive time off site while traveling or to other locations as required.
