What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Analyst position at ENEOS USA?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Researches regulations and communicates findings. Keeps current on new and changing regulations impacting ENEOS USA.
Evaluates internal operational and procedural compliance and recommends changes as needed to bring ENEOS into compliance.
Helps maintain internal documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure ENEOS is following all regulations. Ensures relevant documentation is organized, accurate, and available as needed.
Leads Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance to regulations including US, Canada, and other countries ENEOS ships product.
Manages compliance with chemical, environmental, and safety regulations related to all ENEOS business, including but not limited to TSCA, SARA Title III and II, and CA Proposition 65, Chemical Management System (CMS). Manages updates to change in regulations and compliance for all related regulations.
Assists in applying for compliance certifications and regulatory approvals as needed.
Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to occupational, environmental and health issues including but not limited to chemical exposure, fumes, noise, temperatures, dusts, vapors, mists, gases, solvents, lighting, and ergonomics which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health, environment, and/or safety.
Performs field and safety measurements, safety evaluations, environmental evaluations and hazardous waste evaluations including inspections and reporting as required.
Maintains monitoring instrumentation and equipment. Confirms validity of data, and reports data to required governmental agencies on a timely basis
Implements or recommends control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
Provides technical guidance to management, government agencies, and civic groups regarding environment, safety and health related problems.
Monitors the company's environmental, safety and health standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and reports information timely to Upper Management.
Develops and implements a program and system to track and evaluate worker injuries including OSHA reporting and internal reporting. Works with Human Resources group as needed for Worker’s Compensation claims.
Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry, environmental, safety, and government regulations.
Develops and facilitates training for workers on issues related to health, safety, environment, ISO, and Quality Assurance.
Researches and implements other programs to comply with additional government agencies: DOT; OSHA, etc.
Coordinates and assists with 5S and visualization projects
Works for company project if required.
Qualifications:

- Three (3) to five (5) years of compliance experience
- ISO 9001 ISO 14001 or similar systems
- Auditing experience
- Experience writing procedures, process flow diagrams, work instructions, and other documentation
- Automotive experience a plus
- Kaizen and 5S experience
- Risk Management/risk avoidance experience
- Experience with OSHA, EPA, ADEM, TSCA, DOT and other regulatory agencies in managing compliance
- Technical knowledge relating to oils, chemical, environmental regulations, and safety regulations
- Experience with developing and maintaining safety programs
