Responsibilities
As a member of the Regulatory Compliance team, the Compliance Analyst will assist in the day-to-day operations of the HIPAA component of the regulatory compliance department. The Compliance Analyst will work with all Support Services departments as well as interact directly with SCA’s facilities in managing HIPAA Privacy program and it’s processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing all phases of HIPAA related reviews and support activity (e.g., HIPAA breach reporting, Regulatory Compliance Leads Program operations related to HIPAA reporting, HIPAA training tracking, HIPAA auditing)
- Assist in the diligence, integration, and acquisition process as it relates to HIPAA/Cyber Security
- Assist in contract workflows to review new and updated Business Associate Agreements
- Working effectively with other departments/external sources as it related to providing HIPAA guidance
- Coordinating with IT regarding Cyber Security risk within the corporate environment
- Monitoring of Teammate activity in HIPAA scoped applications using corporate solutions (Fairwarning)
- Working as part of a team who support each other to accomplish goals and objectives together
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Deep Knowledge & understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy and Security related principles and state laws
- Understanding of HIPAA processes and internal HIPAA controls
- Understanding basic healthcare compliance and compliance related principles
- Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Flexible attitude and open to changes in the day-to-day work schedule
- Absolute attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience related to health care operations, regulatory compliance, and/or healthcare compliance preferred, but not required.
- Project management experience
- Cyber Security program experience
- Experience in GRC platform management
- Experience working with Optum/UHG regarding new corporate controls/workflows
Certifications:
If not already achieved, obtain the below certification within first two years of employment:
- Certification in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) through AHIMA
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
