What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer position at ENERCON ENGINEERING INC?
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer that can leverage their skills and experience to support our team at Enercon Engineering . This position will require a self-motivated, "hands on" engineer that can understand and learn new processes. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, strong writing abilities, can work with multiple organizational teams, has strong problem-solving skills, is innovative in their thinking, and is detail oriented with a desire to "roll up their sleeves" to help the team get the job done.
Job Summary
- Read and interpret project start up plans, prints, drawings, or job write-ups and compare to what has been designed and built, checking for any discrepancies, errors, problems or potential problems or questions.
- Field telephone calls from customers and determine need and/or problem by interpreting their questions and asking for pertinent information. Advise customer on troubleshooting and attempt to solve their problem over the phone.
- Travel to job sites as needed and assist in start-up and/or field test of product for customer. Using company guidelines, adapt usual testing methods for on-site applications. Communicate appropriate information to customer and answer questions as needed.
- Travel to job sites as needed and provide trouble-shooting services to solve errors, problems or potential problems of product on site. Communicate appropriate information to customer and answer questions as needed.
- Communicate all findings to necessary company personnel. Prepare, create and distribute appropriate testing reports. Obtain acceptance documents from customer as necessary.
- Assist in the testing of electrical controls in the Electrical Test Area when not traveling.
- Assist with load testing as needed.
