Overview
ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer over major projects within the power generation industry. You will have direct interaction with clients, regularly communicating with them to understand their needs, present project updates, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. This role can be located in one of the following locations:
- Kennesaw, GA
- Dallas, TX
- Tampa, FL
- Birmingham, AL
Responsibilities
This role involves managing budgets, schedules, scope, and quality to ensure project success with minimal oversight. You’ll design and prepare comprehensive engineering packages, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, while applying technical principles and adhering to industry codes and standards.
- Project Management: Own project budgets, scopes, schedules, and quality, while guiding team members to ensure successful, high-quality outcomes
- Design and Technical Expertise: Develop detailed engineering design packages, drawings, specifications, and evaluations tailored to client needs, applying innovative and practical solutions
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure all designs and deliverables align with industry codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and foster strong relationships with colleagues and client engineers to achieve project goals
- Growth and Field Support: Embrace opportunities to learn new tools and provide hands-on expertise during field installations, system checkouts, and start-up activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural or similar degree in Engineering
- 10 years' of technical experience with engineering, design, and calculations
- Must have experience within power generation
- Ability to lead multi-discipline teams
- Strong skills in writing, presentation and communication
- Ability to provide informed recommendation based on expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability as an individual contributor and team member
- Physically able to visit client sites (including stairs or ladders)
- Open to travel up to 20% of the time
