Job Description
Enercon Technologies seeks a skilled Senior Buyer to join our team in purchasing electronic and mechanical items, equipment, tools, and services. As the Buyer for Enercon Technologies, you will be responsible for contacting vendors for information/bids, establishing new and alternative supply sources, and negotiating purchase prices and delivery schedules.
In this role, you will:
- Purchase and schedule materials
- Process Quotes
- Manage vendor qualification and assessment
- Manage material cost reduction
- Define, implement, and manage product sourcing strategy
- Provide supplier support and direction
- Develop and implement actions to achieve operational goals: 0 PPM incoming quality, 100% supplier delivery performance
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts throughout the business
- Support new product launch and legacy procurement initiatives
You will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control to plan the purchase of materials, establish JIT schedules, resolve quality and delivery issues, and inform others of pricing, product availability, and expected delivery dates.
The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, analytical approach, excellent negotiation skills, ability to multitask, solid organizational skills, and self-motivation. Additionally, they must be capable of defining strategic plans/concepts as well as executing daily tasks.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Technical College Degree in Electronics or Business
- 2-3 years of experience with electronic and/or electro-mechanical components purchasing
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft applications
