This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and collaborate across engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration and coordination throughout project phases. This role also involves strategic problem-solving, field investigations, and the chance to shape solutions to technical challenges.
- Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
- Prepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
- Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
- Devise new approaches to technical problems
- Travel and participate in field investigations
- Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 7 years in heavy industrial design experience
- RISA or STADD Experience Preferred
- PE Preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired
- Knowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production software
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Familiar with the International Building code and building code design
- Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
- Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches
