Senior Structural Engineer (3-6 Month Contract)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in power plant engineering to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This role requires a dynamic professional with field experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency "fix-it-now" environment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in structural design, analysis, and problem-solving specific to industrial settings, particularly power plants.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design for power plant systems and components using STAD and RISA software.
• Provide immediate solutions to structural issues in startup, shutdown, and operational phases of power plant projects.
• Conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with field teams to address emergency structural concerns.
• Develop and review structural engineering calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to implement engineering solutions effectively.
• Prepare and present technical recommendations to stakeholders.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 7-10 years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on power plants or similar industrial facilities.
• Hands-on field experience is essential; experience in startup and shutdown scenarios is highly preferred.
• Heavy industrial design experience.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, emergency-response environment.
• Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, high-rise buildings, or hotels will not be considered.
