Trimble Viewpoint Vista Migration Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Trimble Viewpoint Vista Expert with extensive experience in migrating from Microsoft Dynamics SL to Viewpoint Vista. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL databases, Microsoft Dynamics SL, and Microsoft programming languages. This role will be instrumental in leading our data migration efforts, ensuring data integrity, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to streamline business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of financial and operational data from Microsoft Dynamics SL to Trimble Viewpoint Vista.
• Develop and implement best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Design and execute SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimizations to support data integrity and system performance.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to identify business requirements and optimize workflows within Viewpoint Vista.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to database integration, performance tuning, and application configurations.
• Work with Microsoft development tools and languages such as Visual Basic (VB), .NET, or C# to customize and enhance system functionality.
• Provide training and documentation to end users and IT staff on new system functionalities and best practices.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and backup strategies are in place throughout the migration process.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Trimble Viewpoint Vista implementation and migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL and its underlying database structures.
• Expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS) for data migration and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programming languages such as VB, .NET, or C#.
• Experience with ERP system integrations and business process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the construction or engineering industry with ERP system migrations.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions.
• Certifications in SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics, or Trimble Viewpoint Vista.
