About the Position

Energy Exemplar is seeking a motivated Senior IT Support Engineer to join our Global IT team at our Houston office. This employee will provide end-user support related to DevOps and IT - hardware and software. This engineer will participate in various IT projects and be able to learn and adapt to an ever-changing technology landscape. This engineer must be highly organized, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and enjoy working with end-users daily to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Administer implementing and optimizing cloud-based DevOps services and virtualized infrastructure on Azure and AWS services, including user, tenant, networking resources, and security administration.

Handle cloud applications such as O365, InTune, Zoom, MS Teams and Entra ID (Azure AD) and manage security aspects of user groups and conditional access.

Track and resolve hardware / software issues, configure, deploy, and support end-user devices, and maintain IT equipment, including networks, meeting rooms, and other assets.

Assist with employee onboarding / offboarding and implement SSO, MFA, and security best practices for on-site and remote employees.

Administer SaaS tools and audit user accounts, licenses, and assets.

Support inventory, patch management, upgrades, and network troubleshooting.

Manage incidents, monitor security compliance, and respond to security alerts.

Create knowledge base articles, collaborate with vendors, and integrate systems during mergers and acquisitions.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related Engineering field.

5 years in senior IT support, 3 years in DevOps supporting cloud technologies, with relevant certifications : Microsoft 365 Security Admin, AWS, Azure Admin, CompTIA A , Network , Security , MCSE.

Experienced in managing Microsoft products (O365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams) and cloud services (AWS, Azure). Skilled in deploying and managing end-user devices (desktops, laptops, phones, printers) in mixed Microsoft / Apple environments.

Expert in troubleshooting network issues, wireless, VPN, web conferencing, and software / hardware troubleshooting (Mac / PC, Linux / Windows).

Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policies, Intune MDM, patch management, and OS imaging.

Familiar with security tools (Qualys, CrowdStrike) and support SOC2, and ISO27001 certifications.

Strong communicator, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
