Job Summary: As a Senior SCADA Engineer at you will lead the design, development, and administration of sophisticated SCADA systems for our clients across the energy and utilities sectors. Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and development of complex SCADA systems for new installations, system expansions, and integrations with third party systems.
- Act as a technical lead, guiding junior engineers and project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their operational needs, develop trusted relationships, and provide consultative support.
- Design custom solutions and develop detailed proposals that align with client requirements and business objectives.
- Oversee and provide technical and maintenance support, ensuring the highest level of system performance and reliability.
- Support rotational after-hours support schedules to guarantee continuous system operations.
- Proven experience in leading SCADA system projects, with a strong portfolio in Trihedral VTScada, Weatherford Cygnet, or Inductive Automation Ignition platforms.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming and familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and MQTT Sparkplug B.
- Demonstrated ability in sales engineering, including creating rapport with clients, consulting to define solutions, and proposal development.
- Strong background in working with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
- Strong background administering applications hosted in a cloud environment (Azure ).
- Network engineering experience, including working with data centers, virtual private networks, Internet of Things, and wireless communications desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA system design and implementation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution. A master’s degree is .
- Relevant certifications such as Ignition 8.1 and VTScada are highly desirable.
