Job Title: UL508 Panel Fabrication Technician

Location: North Las Vegas, NV

Position Type: Full-Time, in person

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UL508 Panel Fabrication Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a UL508-certified shop and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities. This role requires proficiency in blueprint and schematic reading, as well as a working understanding of high and low voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot UL508 control panels to meet industry standards.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to ensure precise and accurate fabrication.
• Utilize multimeters and an oscilloscope to diagnose and test electrical systems.
• Create and maintain checklists for quality assurance to ensure all work aligns with UL508 specifications.
• Identify and resolve issues in control panels, providing root-cause analysis and solutions.
• Inspect components for defects or quality concerns and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Maintain an organized work environment, including tool management and fabrication equipment.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure smooth project execution and completion.
  
  

Requirements

• 3 years of experience working in a UL508-certified panel fabrication shop.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of high and low voltage systems.
• Ability to use and interpret data from multimeters and o-scope effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in fabrication using hand tools and wiring techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in creating and maintaining checklists to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Travel up to 15% for commissioning equipment (2-3 day trips with returns home for the weekend)
  
  

Qualifications

• Certification in UL508A Control Panel Design or Fabrication.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation.
• Experience working with quality management systems and documentation processes.
