What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Operations & Servicing Assistant position at Energy One Federal Credit Union?
Energy One FCU is seeking a Mortgage Operations & Servicing Assistant that is responsible for annual escrow analysis, the preparation of periodic loan accounting reports, loan payment processing and administration, reconciliation, administration of insurances, annual escrow analysis, and 1098 reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles all escrow related tasks such as but not limited to paying annual property tax & homeowner’s insurance payments for all portfolio first lien mortgage loans, mortgage releases, first lien mortgage payoffs (quotes & paying off the loan), and the annual escrow analysis process.
- Examines documents such as deeds, assignments, and mortgages, to ensure compliance with escrow instructions, Credit Union policy, and legal requirements.
- Responsible for booking and funding HELOCs and first lien mortgages along with clearing post-closing conditions issued by the secondary investor.
- Handles compilation of end of month reports such as the end of month closed loan report, MPF initial & final Turnaround Report, and quarterly HMDA reporting along with the monthly denied/withdrawn/cancelled loan reconciliation process.
- Review State National Insurance tracking reports weekly. Implement forced place insurance as required by procedure. Update insurance received weekly. Perform quality control for all closed loans and input all portfolio loans into Lereta for tax monitoring.
- Answers member phone calls and assist staff with questions about escrows; performs other job related duties as assigned.
