Duties
- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and other structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely, including forklifts for material handling.
- Perform fixture installations and connect electrical components, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct system testing using voltmeters to verify proper functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation and provide solutions as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical work or construction, with a focus on high voltage systems preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to solar installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.
- Proficient in using power tools, voltmeters, and other installation equipment.
- Experience with fixture installation on roofs or similar structures is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
