Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Specialist to lead the human resources function at our manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in English and Spanish, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of HR practices in a manufacturing setting. The Bilingual HR Specialist will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, and driving initiatives to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees to resolve workplace issues.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Address employee grievances and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection for manufacturing and administrative roles.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding for employees.
  • Training and Development:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, compliance, and safety.
  • Identify training needs and create development plans for employee growth.
  • Compliance and Policies:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
  • Manage safety and health programs.
  • Performance Management:
  • Implement and manage performance review processes.
  • Provide coaching and support to supervisors and employees to address performance issues.
  • HR Operations:
  • Collaboration with the accounting department to oversee payroll administration.
  • Manage employee records and ensure data integrity.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with leadership team to align HR practices with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. Familiarity with safety regulations in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
