Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Specialist to lead the human resources function at our manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in English and Spanish, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of HR practices in a manufacturing setting. The Bilingual HR Specialist will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, and driving initiatives to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees to resolve workplace issues.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection for manufacturing and administrative roles.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding for employees.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, compliance, and safety.
- Identify training needs and create development plans for employee growth.
- Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Manage safety and health programs.
- Performance Management:
- Implement and manage performance review processes.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors and employees to address performance issues.
- HR Operations:
- Collaboration with the accounting department to oversee payroll administration.
- Manage employee records and ensure data integrity.
- Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and strategy.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with leadership team to align HR practices with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. Familiarity with safety regulations in manufacturing is a plus.
