Position Summary:
The Facility Construction Foreman will be responsible for mechanical construction program and personnel at Chord Energy, by managing the daily activities of the mechanical group. This individual will prioritize daily projects, ensuring projects and tasks are done safely and completed in a timely manner. The Facility Construction Foreman is also responsible for overseeing contractors, leading projects, and providing reports to management in their area of expertise. This position reports to the Facilities, Construction, and I&E Manager and is based out of one of Chord’s North Dakota offices in Williston, Watford or Robinson’s Lake, with frequent visits to the field assets. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise the Facility Construction group by giving guidance, mitigating safety concerns, and ensuring correct personnel are involved in each project
- Manage the daily execution of construction projects specific to the needs and specifications set forth by the Facilities management team
- Assist with the development and implementation of innovative ideologies within the construction department
- Determine which equipment is best suited for specific projects; selecting quality equipment at reasonable prices that meets all applicable safety and operational standards
- Process associated invoices in a timely manner
- Assist with monitoring expenditure and ensuring budget compliance.
- Coordinate projects with management, other departments, and contractors and communicate these timelines effectively.
- Implement safe work practices and be a leader in proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the employee, the public, and the environment at all times
- Work and lead in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of developing leadership experience related to the operation and maintenance of various types of upstream facilities.
- Candidate must live within a 50-mile commuting radius of work reporting location
- Ability to set expectations, coach, mentor, and develop contractors to enhance implementation and cost efficiencies
- Availability for call outs, emergencies or shutdowns
- Knowledge of manufacturing and installation best practices in the Facilities Construction industry.
- Understands Piping and Instrument Diagrams, orthographic drawings, process flow diagrams, and piping specifications.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), ability to learn company‐specific programs such as maintenance program software
- Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have a hands-on approach and strong work ethic
- Ability to provide solutions quickly and accurately even in stressful situations
- Ability to comply with DOT Regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle competing demands with flexibility
- Ability to work well with and at times direct others
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Able to handle exposure to noise, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively.
- Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job
