Job Purpose
This position will work at plant 1 located at 4000 E. Continental Way, Springfield, MO.
A Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. They play a key role in fixing issues when they arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the proper level of internal quality
- Managing problem solving, containment and corrective actions
- Developing control standards, instructions, control plans
- Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and generating KPI reports
- Managing internal improvement plans
- Cooperating with relevant support functions
- Improving the quality of the production line
- Running system, process and product audits
- Ensuring correct nonconform and suspected product management
- Participate in change approval process
- Providing quality coaching for production staff
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- English language on communicative level in writing and speaking
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, DMAIC, etc.)
- Excellent PC skills with the ability to produce high quality document deliverables in short time scales
- SAP knowledge, desirably with quality module
- Familiar with technical documentation
- Team player able to work independently
