Summary:
The Field Minor Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the seasonal field minors during harvest by ensuring adequate training and communication among employees, parents, and staff. This position is the primary contact for scheduling and will be responsible for maintaining a staffing level that meets the employment demands of the farm. The ideal candidate for this position is team oriented and builds connections with the kids to establish a memorable, enjoyable, and safe experience while working at Enfield Farms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain friendly and approachable demeanor, welcome the kids as they arrive and help them with various needs throughout the day.
- Ensure the rotation of shifts and employee breaks in accordance with Washington State law and the Company’s minor variance, make sure they have plenty of water and that maximum health & safety is achieved.
- Process leaves requests and work around unavailability as needed.
- Transport kids to and from the field and home office, assign kids to harvesters based on capability, coordinate shift changes (if a second shift is needed).
- Contact and communicate with parents regarding expected pickup times and other updates.
- Schedule field kids in scheduling program, help identify areas to improve efficiency.
- Be able to answer questions regarding shift changes and leave requests.
- Communicate with field leads and offer support as needed.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Schedule, train, and check-in on each kid daily.
- Maintain clean and organized workspace.
- Establish a clear timeline for schedule publishing.
- Communicate with employees & parents when they can expect to view and make changes to their schedule.
- Communicate with employees & parents regarding shift changes and pickup times.
- Help and assist with employee training and coaching, support the growth and development of each employee.
- Ensure everyone is on task, properly equipped and have clear expectations to succeed.
- Maintain organized leave requests, with timely completion of accepted and declined requests.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Team-Oriented and collaborative
High school or equivalent (required)
Driver’s License (required)
Bilingual is a plus, but not required.

Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Climb up and down harvesters.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will need coverage periodically between 8:30am and 6/7pm (depending on weather and amount of fruit) Monday – Friday, with Saturday & Sunday availability. Below is a what a typical day in this position looks like:
8:30am – 9:00am: Minors arrive and can be clocked in starting at 8:55am.
10:00am – 11:00am: Check in w/ minors on each harvester
First break 10:30am-11:00am, depending on harvester unload.
12:30pm – 1:00pm: Check in w/ minors on each harvester, split shift rotation @ lunch
Lunch break 12:30pm-1:00pm, depending on harvester unload.
3:00pm – 4:00pm: Check in w/ minors on each harvester
Second break 3:30pm-4:00pm, depending on harvester unload.
6:00pm – 7:00pm: Harvesters complete final row, stay until all minors are picked up.
Downtime can be used for creating schedules, next day picker assignment sheets, communicating with parents and field leads, etc.. This shift may change, due to new overtime restrictions.
Salary : $20 - $22
