Job Title: Architectural Drafter
Reports To: Director of Design
Summary
Drafter is responsible for supporting the Architectural & Design Teams with drawing support and rendering updates related to selections and proposals for a client’s new home build or remodel. Drawing and renderings include exterior finishes, ceiling details, lighting plan updates, utility elevations, and architectural details.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dimensioning and plan annotations
- Updates to Interior/Exterior 3D renderings according to client selections and options
- Utility/Shower Elevations
- Architectural Details
- Detail drawings for Architectural and Design features
- Fireplace and Appliance specification review & drawings
- Lighting Plan development and updates
- Assist loading selections into tracking software
- Cabinetry support
- Rendering images and videos
- Marketing support
- Drawing out concepts from design team
- Product material research
- Updates to 2D and 3D floor plans for new homes and remodels
Additional Responsibilities
- Plan Checklisting
- Renderings for structural clarifications
- Other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 2 years’ experience related to engineering, design, architecture, computer science, or similar
- 0-2 years’ experience in construction industry
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision.
- Attention to detail and ability to focus for periods of time
- Outstanding organizational skills, ability to plan and prioritize projects in order to meet multiple demands
- Continued willingness to learn new information/techniques to flexibly deal with changing demands
- Additional expectations include professional attitude, team player, follow-through, attendance, organizational loyalty and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in industry related applications, including Chief Architect, AutoCAD, 2020 Kitchen and Bath, Revit, and SketchUp.
