CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Engenix Inc. is seeking qualified AH-64D/E Instructor Pilots / Instrument Examiners to become a member of the AH-64 New Equipment Training Team and to provide training, training development, subject matter expertise, logistical support, and management of Engenix / PM Apache's AH-64D/E training requirements.
The New Equipment Training Team (NETT) Instructors provide U.S. Army units and allied customers the training necessary to operate the AH-64D/E and related mission and weapon systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training, training development, subject matter expertise, logistical support, and management of Engenix's / PM Apache's AH-64D/E training requirements.
- Conduct flight training, academic lectures, guided discussions, instructor lead practical exercises, and simulation training in all aspects of the AH-64D and/ AH-64E, including aircraft, weapon, and mission systems.
- Develop academic training or provide subject matter expertise in the development of training and training devices by the AH-64E OEM or third-party vendors.
- Prepare, manage schedules, and conduct training IAW applicable Program of Instructions, Training Support Plans, Course Management Plans, Course Syllabuses and or within other official guidance with little to no supervision.
- Work independently, via digital applications, telephonically or virtually when at their base of operations.
- Primary work location is "on-site" at Ft. Novosel
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Experience
- 2,000 Total RW Hours
- Instructor candidates must be a Graduate of a U.S Army DOTD Approved AH-64E course to include being version 4 or version 6 trained IAW and by a USAACE DOTD approved authority.
- Graduate of the AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course. (500 AH-64 IP Hours)
- Military Instrument Flight Examiner is desired or rated as a CFII.
- A high level of AH-64 knowledge is desired, as well as the ability to research information in technical manuals and/or engineering documentation.
- Possess knowledge of the AH-64 mission and weapons systems, the technical employment of those systems and a basic understanding of the US Army doctrinal use of said systems.
- Bachelor or higher degree in aviation, management, education, or training development. Education can be substituted with experience.
Required Skills
- Possess a minimum of SECRET clearance.
- FAA Class II flight physical.
- FAA Commercial Pilot rating / Rotorcraft - Helicopter: Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Be available for travel up to 50% of the time with surges of 75% depending on mission requirements.
- Able to manage logistics and physically move equipment up to 60 lbs. in support of mission requirements.
- A general/working knowledge of MS Office products is required, and the selected individual should have at least a basic knowledge of the courseware development and review process.
- Must be able to work independently, have good organizational skills, and produce quality work within a schedule with little supervision.
- Must work well with others and function as part of a close-knit team.
- Must have the desire and ability to self-improve, specifically related to technical knowledge, instructional development, teaching methods, and techniques.
