Job Overview:
As a Receiving Supervisor, you will coordinate the activities of workers responsible for receiving, inspecting, and logging incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality. You will be relied upon for your organization and clear communication skills. Your day will involve managing orders, verifying incoming shipments, and overseeing your team’s performance.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process and document received shipments.
Communicate with other departments regarding delivery schedules and inventory status.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to address discrepancies.
Monitor and manage inventory levels at the receiving area and remote warehouses.
Provide coaching, counseling, and support to team members in a professional manner.
Assign responsibilities, create plans for improvement, and execute them effectively.
Prepare for scheduled and impromptu meetings, ensuring teamwork and collaboration.
Assist with training new personnel and work overtime when necessary.
Proactively follow directions from managers and lead the department to success.
Monitor employee productivity, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to policies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, leading by example.

Essential Functions:
Be computer literate, possess strong communication and math skills, and work with Microsoft Office.
Obtain forklift certification and operate equipment as required.
Must be 18 years old, with a high school diploma preferred; attention to detail is critical.
Automotive or mechanical ability is a plus, willingness to handle chemicals as needed.
Skillfully work with hands, manual tools, and other instruments.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or work on your feet for 8 hours daily, even under pressure.
Maintain a "Can-Do Attitude" and demonstrate effective time management, communication, and decision-making skills.
Self-motivated and proactive, always ready to assist others and work as a team.
