The Role
We believe that small, collaborative, and cross-functional teams are best equipped to ship the most optimal project outcomes. Within these teams, members of our Strategy group help to bring focus and direction, ensuring the work we produce is supported by principles, delivering on the needs and expectations of both end users and the business.
As an Intermediate UX Strategist, you’ll support the research, planning, and design of digital experiences, products, and services. You’ll collaborate with visual designers, strategists, writers, and engineers, to produce a range of deliverables that help bring our work into clarity. This includes everything from rough sketches to schematics, from mockups to prototypes. Through workshops, concepting sprints, and various other methods, you’ll contribute to solutions that help our clients improve how they engage with customers and drive growth.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a digital studio environment, with experience in research, strategy, and design for web and mobile. Your ability to uncover insights and present ideas clearly and with confidence will be demonstrated through a portfolio of work that shows depth, rigor, and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Develop a clear understanding of your clients, their business, needs, and objectives
- Support the research process from planning through analysis of findings
- Participate in concepting, ideation, and the design of digital experiences, striking a balance between best practices and innovation
- Help develop deliverables such as personas, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
- Support the planning and facilitation of stakeholder interviews, and workshops
- Collaborate with your team to ensure we’re considering the full range of opportunities across content, interaction, technology, and integrations
- Participate in presentations to internal teams and client stakeholder groups
What You'll Bring
- 3 years experience in the digital agency, startup, or consulting space
- A strong portfolio demonstrating skill, craft, thinking, and expertise
- Clear knowledge of digital platforms, devices, and technologies with specific focus on web, mobile, e-commerce, and digital in-store
- Experience across product design, journey mapping, user experience, content strategy, information architecture, and interaction design
- Experience working with UI patterns, grids, and design systems
- Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative research, facilitation, and analysis
- Knowledge of usability testing, accessibility testing, SEO, analytics, and A/B testing
- Experience engaging clients and participating in workshops
- Proficient in presenting, communicating, and implying complex information
This is a hybrid role with three days per week in the studio. Candidates should be residents of Vancouver and able to travel. International applicants will not be considered at this time.
