Job Summary:
The receiving specialist will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming shipments. This role will ensure that all goods are correctly recorded, stored, and distributed within the warehouse and appropriate departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, receipts, and invoices
· Check for accuracy and any potential damage, reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate departments
· Properly label, document, and store materials in designated areas
· Maintain accurate records of received goods using inventory software
· Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve any issues
· Assist in inventory activities such as cycle counts and audits
· Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and pallet stackers
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
· Occasionally train and back up others to support material-handling activities
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
· Effective problem-solving and critical thinking
· Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team
· Flexible, self-motivated, and adaptable to change
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1-2 years of experience in shipping and material handling in a manufacturing setting
· Valid Driver’s license
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee can be exposed to noise. The noise level is usually moderate. If travel is necessary, it would be local. Must have reliable means of transportation to allow flexible work hours as needed.

· Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear
· Frequently required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
· Use a computer keyboard with a mouse for long periods of time
· Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds
· All the above could occur in high or low temperatures involving wind and/or precipitation
