Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for the preparation and shipment of finished goods to our customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Unload and load trucks using manual pallet jacks and powered fork truck

· Moves materials throughout the facility as needed

· Prepares and packages finished goods for shipment

· Uses powered hand tools, such as drills, staplers, and nail guns to prepare wooden shipping containers

· Captures relevant information about goods prior to shipment using shipping documents and photographic devices.

· Operates forklift or other power-driven equipment to load or move materials. Ability to become certified and perform the proper fork truck techniques.

· Follow approved procedures in receiving, material storage, order picking, and order staging

· Ability to work closely with internal and external customers to solve problems and answer questions

· Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures

· Quality-conscious and attention to detail

· Report on issues or defective parts

· Meet targets set by lead/supervisor

· Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures

· Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance

· Maintain tools & work area as directed by lead/supervisor or standard work

· Be an active team member in continuous improvement activities

· Must be able to walk throughout the workday

· Other duties as assigned by the lead/supervisor or department

Required Skills/Qualifications:

· Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures, policies, and work instructions.

· Basic Skills – Basic mathematical and reading comprehension skills.

· Reasoning Ability – Basic reasoning and comprehensive ability.

Education and Experience:

  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • 0-6 months experience

· Specific Vision ability required by this job includes close viewing, peripheral and color vision

· Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds

· All of the above could occur in high or low temperatures

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, an employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Environmentally, the position’s work is performed in an unconditioned space where temperature and humidity will adjust according to outdoor conditions. The employee must have reliable means of transportation to allow flexible work hours as needed.
