What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Maker position at Engineered Plastic Components?
1. Job Description/Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):
· Schedule machine PM per machine manufacturer’s recommendations
· Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction
· Have at least 2 year's experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic injection molding
· Ability to troubleshoot injection molding machines and tooling
· Be familiar with and troubleshoot hydraulics
· Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues with machines
· Be familiar with and troubleshoot robotics
· Locate repair parts and negotiate with vendor on best price
· Perform and document machine PM as scheduled
· Perform and document service work and maintenance work on all secondary (auxiliary) equipment
· Coordinate with technical support of machine manufacturer
· Maintain and document spare part inventory
· Order, repair, and maintenance components and supplies as needed
· Perform any metal cutting, welding, drilling, milling as needed
· Have all necessary tools to perform job upon hire
· Operate forklift/ overhead cranes
· Able to lift 40 lbs
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
