Position Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Greenville, SC. In this essential role, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal components that support our innovative storage solutions. You will utilize your welding expertise to interpret blueprints and specifications, ensuring high-quality welds that meet our stringent standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding processes.
  • Inspect completed welds for structural integrity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare materials and set up welding devices or robots as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to continuously enhance your welding skills.

Work Environment: You will work in a dynamic environment, regularly around moving mechanical parts and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Please be aware that noise levels may be high at times.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more regularly.
  • Proficient use of manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina to perform welding tasks.
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles effectively over extended periods.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG welding.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in welding operations.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for working with welding equipment.
  • Experience in inspection and quality control of welded components.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or formal training in welding preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in welding or a similar field.
  • Additional specialized training and certification, preferred.
