Responsibilities
Design and develop high-performance analog circuits for A/D and D/A conversion, including SAR, Flash, Sigma Delta, and Pipeline ADCs, as well as serial DACs, R2R, and current-steering architectures.
Implement low-noise and high dynamic range techniques, including sample acquisition/hold circuits, bandgap references, oscillators, op-amps, switched capacitor circuits, active filters, phase/frequency control loops, and stability analysis.
Work in both time and frequency domains to optimize circuit performance.
Develop and analyze power electronics/power management solutions, including Buck/Boost converters, LDOs, charge pumps, and inverters utilizing MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN power devices.
Design and verify analog/mixed-signal ASICs using Cadence or Tanner tool suites.
Conduct radiation-hardened circuit design, including rad-lot testing, ionizing radiation effects analysis, single event upset, and total dose impact evaluation.
Interface with sensors such as LVDTs, synchros/resolvers, and encoders.
Apply control theory and matrix mathematics, including Z-domain transforms for digital control and motor control simulation (Clark and Park transforms).
Perform thermal, electrical stress, worst-case, FMEA, tolerance, aging, and EMI minimization analyses.
Utilize CAD tools such as LT-Spice, P-Spice, OrCAD, Allegro, and Pantheon for simulation and design.
