Job Description:
Engines, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Beam Repair Technician/Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting beams, fixing imperfections using handheld grinders, straightening beams with a press, and operating overhead cranes. During downtime, general laboring duties will be required. This position requires a team-oriented individual who is ready to contribute to our dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect Beams: Thoroughly inspect beams for imperfections and structural issues.
- Fix Imperfections: Use handheld grinders to smooth out and repair beam imperfections.
- Straightening Beams: Utilize a press to straighten beams as necessary.
- Operate Overhead Cranes: Safely operate overhead cranes to move beams and materials.
- General Laboring Duties: Perform various general labor tasks during downtime, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience with beam repair, handheld grinders, and overhead crane operation is preferred.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to team goals.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Farm Hand/Outdoor Experience: Experience working as a farm hand or in outdoor environments is a plus.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Friday 6:00 - 2:30pm
Possible Saturdays and Sundays
Built in OT
