We are seeking a Landscape Designer at ETM, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing a wide range of landscape design projects. Your creative vision, technical expertise, and horticultural knowledge will help shape outdoor spaces that captivate the senses, support environmental sustainability, and enrich the lives of our clients. The following skills will be required for this position:
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their landscaping needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Collaborate to create design concepts that align with their vision.
- Site Analysis: Conduct thorough site assessments, taking into account topography, soil conditions, climate, and existing vegetation. Identify opportunities and constraints for the project.
- Conceptual Design: Develop initial landscape design concepts, including sketches, drawings, and mood boards that showcase the overall vision of the project.
- Plant Selection: Choose appropriate plants, trees, shrubs, and other horticultural elements based on the project's location, climate, and client preferences. Ensure the selection aligns with sustainable landscaping principles.
- Hardscape Design: Integrate hardscape elements such as pathways, patios, walls, and water features into the landscape design, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
- 3D Modeling: Utilize design software and tools to create 3D models and renderings to help clients visualize the proposed projects.
- Budget Management: Develop cost estimates and project budgets in collaboration with the project management team. Ensure projects are executed within budget constraints.
- Permitting and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local zoning regulations and permitting requirements. Ensure all designs adhere to these guidelines.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with landscape architects, contractors, and other professionals to bring design from concept to completion. Provide guidance and support during the construction phase.
- Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design plans, plant lists, and progress reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in landscape design and project management.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of native plants, sustainability principles, and horticultural practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Understanding of local zoning regulations and permitting processes.

- Work effectively with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate landscape design into overall project plans and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of design development, including drafting, rendering, and material selection, to ensure accuracy and quality in final deliverables.
- Possess strong verbal and visual communication skills to present design concepts to clients and team members, as well as to communicate effectively with contractors during the construction phase.
