English Meadows Senior Living is a locally owned company providing excellent care to our wonderful Residents. We are passionate about assisted living and ensure each of our Caregivers looks forward to the day just as much as our Residents in our communities.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Director to join our senior living community team. The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase occupancy, enhance English Meadows Brand awareness, and strengthen our community's reputation in the area and beyond.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the goals of the community and drives occupancy growth.
  • Collaborate with the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns that generate leads and convert them into move-ins.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of events and outreach efforts to build brand awareness and strengthen relationships with local referral sources and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage the community's online presence, including the website, social media accounts, and online listings, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to continually refine and optimize our marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure all marketing activities are cost-effective and aligned with our overall business objectives.

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
  • 5 years of experience in marketing, with a track record of success in a senior living or healthcare environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and digital marketing channels.
  • Knowledge of the senior living industry and regulations is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly and understand that for each resident, the facility is considered their home.

  • Essential Functions :

  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and rank sales referral sources and complete the assigned number of quality in-person sales calls.
  • Generate leads and build relationships through sales contact with local healthcare professionals and community referral sources.
  • Maintain a follow-up procedure for each referral.
  • Assist Executive Director with marketing and public relations tasks; assessment and service planning activities; tenant move-ins and move-outs; and / or coordination of tenant services as needed.
  • Make presentations to business and networking groups to build the sphere of influence of the residence.
  • Comply and update as necessary for market competitive analysis including shopping the competition.
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with older adults and their influencers.
  • Schedule tours and meet potential residents and their families to determine needs, give tours highlighting benefits, provide solutions, overcome objections, and close sales to obtain a deposit and move-in date.
  • Explain all move-in forms, disclosure statements, and agreements.
  • Coordinate greeting of new residents, double check on the readiness of apartments.
  • Provide move-in and new resident information to appropriate team members.
  • Ability to work within budget.
  • Prepare all required paperwork daily, weekly, and monthly basis and report to the supervisor as required.
  • Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Understand that travel is required for marketing and public relations as well as training.
  • Customer Service :

  • Perform job duties for Residents and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner.
  • Communicate professionally and cooperate with the supervisor and all community personnel.
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and residence staff.
  • Residents Rights :

  • Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights.
  • Other :

  • Follow & communicate company policies and procedures.

  • Working Conditions :

  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Subject to being called in during emergency conditions.
  • Understand that travel is required for marketing and public relations as well as training.
  • Physical / Sensory Requirements :

  • Medium work : the ability to exert 10-35 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and staff.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the community.
