Our client, a respected midsize public accounting firm with over 60 years of client service, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their collaborative and relationship-driven team. This firm works with a wide variety of clients across industries such as construction, manufacturing, IT, non-profit, and more.
About the Role:
As a Bookkeeper, you will support multiple client accounts by providing day-to-day accounting services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a range of businesses and values meaningful, long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Handle full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, bank statements, and credit card activity
- Maintain general ledgers and prepare adjusting journal entries
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with managers and tax staff to ensure financial data is accurate and current
- Communicate regularly with clients to gather information and provide updates
Qualifications:
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience; public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and client service skills
