SUMMARY

We are seeking a result-driven Structural Packaging Designer for a corrugated packaging company near the Dallas – Fort Worth airport. This is a crucial role creating packaging design for structured films, folding cartons, and industrial films (shrink, polyolefin, stretch, and shrink bundling). If you have experience with 3D CAD, materials knowledge, and machine process knowledge, apply here to get started!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulate and communicate ideas for new artwork / structure analyzing customer needs and production feasibility.
  • Have knowledge of various printing equipment and printing processes.
  • Handle various art-related projects for inter-company management.
  • Record keeping and filing of specifications.
  • Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or applicable work experience.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD is a must.
  • Packaging design specifically with industrial films (shrink, polyolefin, stretch, and shrink bundling) is a must.
  • Must have experience related to materials, machine processes, packaging design, printing processes, and familiarity with current procedures with trucking, FedEx, Air, and overseas.
  • Structural design (horizontal, vertical, and stand-up) experience is a must in the corrugated industry (box packaging).
  • Good communicator with customers and sales staff.
  • Must have working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation, product layouts, production specifications, and product quality specifications.
