What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at Enlightenment Home Care?
We are seeking a caregiver to assist us with a female client in Aberdeen. She has been diagnosed with vascular dementia in the middle/high range and her husband is her primary caretaker. He is looking for assistance from an experienced caregiver who can help him on days he has errands to run and provide him with techniques to help make sure his wife is properly cared for.
Required Credentials:
- HCA, CNA, or NAR
- Nurse Delegate preferred
- CPR certificate
- Food handler permit
- Valid driver's license or state ID
Skills Needed:
- Proven experience as a caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Caregiver Responsibilities (Varies from client to client):
- Personal Care (bathing/showering)
- Household Care (Meal preparation, cleaning the kitchen, laundry)
- Wellness (Companionship, conversation, safety observation)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
