Job Description
Ennoble First is seeking a skilled Microsoft Defender Specialist to support the deployment and administration of Microsoft Defender Suite technologies, including Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Defender for Office (MDO), Defender Cloud Apps (MDCA), and Mobile Threat Defender (MTD). The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex enterprise deployments, Microsoft Intune, and cloud-based security architectures. This position will also play a key role in developing SOPs and TTPs, maintaining security toolsets, and supporting transitions to emerging Microsoft technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
Implement Microsoft Defender technologies including MDE, MDO, MDCA, and MTD.
Deploy and support complex architectures using Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Microsoft 365 Defender Center.
Develop SOPs and TTPs for managing agent handlers, repositories, and related enterprise tools.
Support migration efforts from legacy DoD capabilities to Microsoft cloud-based security solutions.
Manage and troubleshoot Windows Defender ATP, virtualization, and server environments.
Administer Microsoft security solutions, including Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
Provide technical support and manage large-scale deployments, updates, and upgrades.
Generate metrics and reports to monitor security posture and deployment progress.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
HS diploma or GED and 10 years of IT experience, Associate's degree and 7 years of IT experience, Bachelor's degree and 5 years of IT experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of IT experience.
Experience with Microsoft Defender Suite, including: MDE, MDO, MDCA, MTD.
Experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Windows Defender ATP.
Experience with scripting using PowerShell.
Server and virtualization management experience.
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Must hold a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA , GICSP, or CND).
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP - Infrastructure Support Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA , GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud , or CND) prior to start.
Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
Experience managing software deployments and patches in large enterprise environments.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident resolution.
Experience managing complex IT projects across multiple teams.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset.
Experience providing hands-on desktop and mobile support.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Range
$90,000–$145,000
The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
