Job Summary:
The Manager, Talent Process Optimization serves as a pivotal role in optimizing and implementing HR technologies and practices to enhance employee engagement and drive business results. Leveraging expertise in systems like UKG and other HR platforms, this role ensures HR processes align with strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will be a thought partner, coach, and collaborator, bringing creative and effective solutions to the organization while focusing on continuous process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and seamless integration of HR systems. The role will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate a culture focused on safety, respect, and business excellence. With a strong emphasis on project management, change management, and analytics, the Manager, Talent Process Optimization plays a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
Systems
- Ensures HR Systems are efficient, effective, and aligned with Enpro 3.0. This includes, but is not limited to, Performance Management, Employee Engagement Survey, Onboarding, Talent Review, and Development Planning.
- Utilizes “Voice of the Customer” (HR Leadership and Business Partners, business leaders, employees, and other key stakeholders) in making process improvements.
- Implements and optimizes HR systems and processes to improve employee engagement and drive business results across all segments, divisions, and international sites.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and employee experience.
- Benchmarks and research emerging technologies and solutions to maximize utilization, impact, and return on investment.
- Manages critical Talent/HR projects and initiatives, including managing project team activities, tasks, deliverables, and timelines. Track project progress and manage expectations through successful project completion.
- Collaborates with local HR teams to optimize learning tracking systems to meet local law, ISO standards, and sustainability efforts.
Talent and Performance Management
- Collaborates with HR Stakeholders to deploy and administer talent and performance management strategies and processes including succession planning.
- Recommends and implements plans for continued talent management process improvements, system enhancements, and new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.
- Manages other Talent Management initiatives as assigned.
Analytics & Systems
- Works with Senior HR Leadership to develop and maintain meaningful HR and organizational analytics, ensuring any new systems are fully compatible and integrated into existing technology for optimal efficiency.
- Designs and manages HR Talent Systems including UKG, and various LMS systems.
- Partners with the HR function to support Employee Engagement activities including engagement survey/pulse surveys providing insights to the business.
- Works closely with IT and other departments to integrate HR systems with other business applications.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in HR software and systems such as UKG (HRIS / Performance Management), Perceptyx (engagement survey), Spidergap (360), and other HR technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends, measure performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Project and Change Management: Proficiency in managing projects and organizational change, including planning, execution, communication, training, and support to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives and smooth transitions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively convey information, collaborate with various functional and global stakeholders, and build relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and find innovative solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in HR processes and systems.
- Leadership: Ability to lead by influence and motivate teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Process Improvement: Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in talent management, analytics, project management, or similar field.
- Experience working in a global setting and in matrixed organizations where leading through influence is required.
- Strong technical aptitude, and analytical skills.
- Business acumen and high learning agility.
- Ability to handle confidential information, build and maintain confidence with leaders.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Must be self-directed, results focused and have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
- Travel ~15%
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial organizational development, HR Management, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience with UKG or other HRIS systems.
