- Develops and leads a comprehensive recruitment strategy for both hourly and management positions to attract top talent.
- Oversees the preparation and maintenance of accurate records and procedures related to personnel transactions and reporting.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to Executive Management annually regarding improvements to company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Stays current with industry trends and employment legislation, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws.
- Ensures the company’s adherence to federal and state regulations related to employment matters.
- Conducts annual wage and salary surveys to ensure the company remains competitive within the local market.
- Collaborates with legal counsel, as necessary, or under the direction of the General Manager.
- Makes decisions regarding disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans in alignment with company policy.
- Administers job classification programs, including the creation of job descriptions and overseeing position reclassifications.
- Manages the company’s benefits program (medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k)), including enrollment, terminations, COBRA, and other benefits processes.
- Leads the design, coordination, and facilitation of employee training programs on topics such as Forbes Standards, hiring, terminations, performance evaluations, safety, and harassment.
- Manages and monitors all claims made against the company, including Unemployment Insurance claims and hearings.
- Reviews the performance appraisal program and recommends adjustments to employment status, as needed.
- Coordinates and oversees the company’s safety program, including committee leadership.
- Manages workers' compensation claims, tracks loss run reports, and communicates with department managers regarding any work restrictions or return-to-work plans.
- Oversees HR operations within budget constraints and allocated resources.
- Provides ongoing support to the payroll team in matters related to payroll processes and wage/hour laws.
- Manages various employee leave programs such as FMLA, MLOA, CFRA, and others.
- Develops and maintains HR systems and processes to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Conducts exit interviews for both voluntary and involuntary terminations.
- Analyzes employee turnover to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in retention.
- Attends and participates in Executive Committee and departmental meetings as necessary.
- Assists in preparing the annual HR budget.
- Guides and supports managers on all HR-related matters.
- Delegates tasks and monitors the quality of work, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Provides daily guidance and leadership to team members, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Regularly reviews team activities to identify challenges and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Engages in HR-related conferences, training, and keeps updated on relevant federal and state laws.
- Promotes safe work habits and a secure working environment at all times.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or 4-6 years of experience in HR management, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
