Job Description
The Machine Operator is an important member of the team that builds our products. This position produceshigh quality linear energetic product in accordance with specific engineering drawings and manufacturinginstructions. The Machine Operator is responsible for safety, quality and delivery of products forour Aerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems in our Simsbury, CT location on flex shift.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for set up, configuration, and operation of roll forming mill to form linear energeticproducts in accordance with documented specifications
- Operate wire sheath extrusion machines
- Operate machines that load and reduce linear energetic product in accordance with specifications
- Perform fabrication of linear energetic product as defined in Manufacturing Instructions usingmachinery and tooling
- Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product
- Maintain quality and accuracy requirements
- Perform all safety and quality checks on the equipment
- Work with engineering team to develop new manufacturing procedures for linear energeticproducts
- Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
