What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar/BESS Engineer position at EnSiteUSA?
The Engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary team to engineer/design solar and energy storage solutions in of our Renewable Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Renewable Energy application engineering (Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS))
- Substation application engineering
- Perform complex engineering/design calculations specific to discipline (equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, Arc flash, grounding, etc.)
- Prepare red-lines / design calculations to produce required drawings (single-line, layouts, plans, etc.)
- Prepare required specifications
- Interface with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Ability to read and apply applicable codes/standards
- Skilled in the use of computer equipment and software
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Effective analytical skills
- Self starter
Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an Accredited College or University.
- EIT, PE, or the ability to obtain
